The Enchanted Map - Chapter 10

Big moments - little me

Queasiness

Two days before any big media event is always a little unnerving, as the client wants an RSVP list last week and journalists decide, often, on the day only. So, before bed and for comfort, I wanted to draw a single card to cool me down for snoozing...

19 November 2013

You want to see uncanny? Check this out: Two cards fell out during my shuffle, facing forward (the reversed position). Twice I put them back. Twice, they ended up in front of the pack.

The cards were: Field of Dreams (21) and Gentle Gardener (2).

The mantras read: "Your thoughts, feelings and beliefs are always engaging the vast field of pure potential" and "Be your own person - be a conscious co-creator".

The Gentle Gardener is the embodiment of the energy within me, which radiates into the field of co-creation. This ensures that all I am is reflected in the world of form: "Watch the quality of your thoughts: believe in limitless possibility to see the miracle unfold. Stay positive and expect a wondrous return."

Hmm: intuition definitely on the rise... Do you know what is most uncanny about this? The one card actually refers to the other in the reading!

The Field of Dreams reads: "Great abundance is yours if you're willing to do the work alongside The Gentle Gardener". What this means, is that I must concentrate on what is best for me - regardless of the temporary stresses of the outside world. That world's story is not mine. As long as I'm clear about my thoughts, feelings and beliefs, my actions won't be frivolous, uncaring or confused. WOW!

It further reads: "You have a basket full of fertile seeds, with your talents Divinely inspired. It will lead to a harvest of great abundance when shared with others. This is the perfect time to harness the field of vast potential not yet realised in your life."

This seems like a tall order - such a big promise!  So I ask: "How do I stay grounded to achieve this?"

As I pick up the deck and turn it around, this card appears: Dry Desert (31). Huh? Deciding it must be a mistake (wild goose chase), I put it back, shuffle loosely four times and on the fifth, what falls out of the pack Dry Desert, again! So let's see how I'll remain grounded in arid conditions...

The mantra reads: "Dig deep for inspiration and truth. Now is the time to become resilient and adaptable."

A-HA! A reminder that I'm required to practise CONSISTENT EFFORT (mind, health, well-being, work) to reach my oasis: turning newly cherished habits into lifelong routines. In the process, I must not burn myself out, for the oasis is only the start of another epic journey!

There are natural way finders on how to survive in these conditions: by going deep within myself, I will find these. Spirit will sustain me while I find the real Source of my Inspiration: for my questions (quest) do not have surface answers - it will take real work to manifest.

I MUST TRY TO FIND WHAT IS TRULY RIGHT FOR ME.

That night, I drifted off to sleep, peaceful in the knowledge that "Everything will be OK in the end. And if it's not OK, it's not the end."
