Completely off-topic!
... or is it?
As so often happens when pressure sets in and you're suddenly working long, arduous hours under severe strain... the mind wanders. Guess where mine went?
Yes, philosophising (favourite pastime of the entire Ness family tree and, it would seem, swimming soundly in my gene pool too)!
An insight hit me, like a wet fish
Jealousy, this new-age demon instantly branded and burned at the stake - only to return to the hapless human host in more potent zombie form - is nothing but a case of frustrated admiration!
Huh? Yep! Let me tell you how my subconscious entertained me with this un-thought while I was actually slaving away at my desk:
If you are content living your life, focused on your path and with Spirit's guidance - giving others the freedom to discover their journey's elixirs, your relationship to those around you instantly transforms.
No longer so prone to the negative interpretations driven by ego - who does not actually possess a legal Code 14 license by the way, your resting attitude shifts from nosy to aloof (in a good way - you'll see just now why I say so...)
In the first place, you're too busy with your self to notice. And when you engage with others intuitively and in sync with your desires, it's less messy than before.
Secondly, souls don't need babysitters - it wouldn't be called a Journey of Self / Discovery if you could out-source your life!
Lastly, the closer you get to Source, the more helpful you become towards others, effortlessly at that. Simple quantum physics: energy, at source, radiates and expands fastest (most).
Demonising issues
There's a trick to demonising issues: you're giving them energy, so what do they do? Yes, you got it: expand, of course (get worse)!
So do me a favour this week, even just once: The next time you see a quality you don't like in yourself / others, embrace it and see what happens! The saying "kill it it with kindness" is not a farce - brought to stage by little old ladies wearing purple hats over hair pins... it is actually a subversive message - spread by forward-thinking quantum physicists, like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, to this day consciously creating happier people ;)
Instead of dislike, you may find yourself pause more often to marvel at the unique inventiveness of people you come across - you know, those permutations of the same energy field we all hail and feed from, yet exhibits so differently in each of us?
You may, at times, be drawn more to some than to others - but don't let it bug you if your wings get burnt: Nature is a harsh educator and the Greater Good has firm ideas. But we heal amazingly well by practising resilience (the art of bouncing back).
Perhaps start with yourself, upon awakening: feel each feeling (like: I hate Mondays / I have a headache / I'm so down or excited or numb), just let it flow through you without thinking about it and, believe me, whatever it is, will dissipate soon enough.
Because attraction is Spirit's strongest manifestation of New Ness (grand-matriarch of the Ness Family), it is in your own interest to reflect on what you attract into your life - then let it go if it feels negative (i.e. drains your energy) and if you cherish it: let it go even more freely - good energy must flow to live on!
Focus on the simple tasks set before you - it's Nature's way of introducing you to the simplicity that is playing your part in the energy matrix.
So do you see what I'm saying - that jealousy is just frustrated admiration? Thought so.
